The 800GBASE-SR8 OSFP optical transceiver module is designed for use in 800Gb/s systems, using dual MTP/MPO-12 connectors with 850nm wavelength. The transmission throughput can reach 30 meters through OM3, and up to 50 meters through 0M4 multimode fiber (MMF). The digital diagnostic function can also be accessed through the L2C interface, as specified by OSFPMSA, allowing real-time operational parameters. With these features, this easy to install and hot swappable transceiver is suitable for various applications, such as data centers, high-performance computing networks, enterprise core, and distribution layer applications.
